Foruchizu is the Japanese-ified amalgamation of our blog names – Fourfeetnine and Cheesie. Foruchizu started in 2010 originally as a Malaysia’s first gyaru circle, when NHK’s Tokyo Kawaii TV crew came in search of girls who love fashion and gyaru styles.
And we realized that there is a huge demand for Japanese fashion – Japanese inspired trend items, and styling and coordination. Another thing we realized separately is that a lot of people ask us where we buy this piece or that item. Okay, Cheesie gets it a lot more because she’s Nuffnang’s Best Fashion Blogger 2011. Haha!
But we both get tons of questions asking where we got this and that and especially where to find clothing that fit us.
So Foruchizu evolved into this.
Our aim for now is to find nice, affordable clothing for you – clothing that goes with our fashion sense, basically we will only sell whatever we would wear ourselves. This includes stringent quality checks because we know what it’s like receiving something you ordered which does not look like it did on the website.
Stuff that’s still gyaru (because our love for fashion is rooted in Japan) but more sophisticated and with an edge and less kawaii because we’re both older now and at the cusp of a new phase of life! We assume our readers are growing up with us too and would appreciate the same style and fashion. And stuff that we can wear either at work or at play.
For now, the things we get might come in smaller sizes because we are essentially shopping for ourselves (and for you). But this info section is written before we’ve even launched properly, so this will likely change and we are looking forward to bringing you a variety of choices.
Love, Cheesie & Aud
